Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill gave superb voice performances as Batman and the Joker, respectively, over many years and multiple TV series. The plot makes for a bumpy ride (1998’s SubZero proves more briskly entertaining), but it proves that animation can support a moody, emotionally rich take on superheroes.
